A New Kind of Choir
Sonic Vox is a professional contemporary choir based in Utrecht, founded and led by conductor and artistic director Rolinde Zieverink. The ensemble brings together fourteen singers with backgrounds in classical, jazz, pop, folk and improvisation. That diversity is not a concept it is the foundation of their sound.
Moving fluidly between genres, Sonic Vox creates performances where voices interact with live electronics, visuals and spatial sound.
EXPERIENCE
More Than a Concert
A Sonic Vox performance is designed as a continuous artistic experience. Voices expand beyond the traditional choral setting through collaboration with sound artist Shey Rah and visual artist Gus Wolf Wickerhoff. Music, sounddesign and visuals merge to create layered performances that transform the space around the audience.
