SONIC LAB
Collective Vocal Project
Sonic LAB is a collective vocal project for singers who love to dive into something new.
Each edition brings together a carefully selected group of committed singers for a short and focused creative journey. In 4–6 rehearsals, we work intensively toward a performance — building expression from the ground up and shaping a shared sound.
The music moves freely between styles. One project may connect classical textures with pop influences; another might blend folk, hip-hop or a cappella sound worlds. Rather than staying within one genre, we explore how different musical languages can meet and strengthen each other.
Preparation, curiosity and collaboration are essential. Everyone contributes to the process, and the final result grows out of the energy of the group itself.
The first edition of Sonic LAB will be shaped by artistic director Rolinde Zieverink, working with guest conductor Rutger de Groot.
This project invites singers to experiment, take creative risks, and discover new ways of making music together.
Sonic LAB works in temporary constellations — each project stands on its own, with its own repertoire, its own singers and its own atmosphere.
